Cloth Nappies and disposables - all you need to know...

Nappy Rash SOS

Cloth Nappies

Disposable Nappies

Apparently, in Frace there is one major factory that manufactures the base fabric / body of disposable nappies.  The individual brands (eg Pampers) then add their own tape, decorated velcro strip, and elasticize the legs.

Regular BC contributors recomend Lidl's own brand disposables (known as Gut). They are possibly the the most economic (between €0,16 and €0,18 per unit). The quality is the same as more expensive brands, but the cut is slightly different. Other brands that get the thumbs-up for economy and quality include Aldi, Carrefour and Auchan. Auchan's soft wipes with lotion are also fantastic.
