Simplifying travel and longish stays in European Countries

The new European Medical Insurance card replaces the E111 (and the E110, E119, E128). It is not a carte Vital, nor a means of payment, but, according to the country of origin, costs will be taken care of according to local legislation.

They are valid for one year, within most European countries (incl UK, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belguim, Cyprus, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy Lithuania, Lichtenstein, Latvia, Luxemburg, Malta, Norway, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Cheque Republic, Slovania, Slovacia, Sweden, etc.)

There is no cost for the card, and they can be ordered by phone, mail or in person. You need to apply for the card 15 days before your departure (HA HA!)- and you should apply for one for every family member, including children.
